Brooklyn College provides secure Wi‑Fi across campus for the entire college community. Connecting takes two things: your BC Wi‑Fi credentials and the setup steps for whatever device you’re using.
Find your BC Wi-Fi username and password
Your BC Wi‑Fi username is also called your Local Resource ID. The same credentials work for BC Wi‑Fi, the campus wired network (Captive Portal), and your PaperCut printing account.
Look up your BC Wi‑Fi credentials using the lookup tool. You’ll sign in with your WebCentral ID first.
Choosing the right Wi-Fi network
You’ll see more than one network name when you open your Wi‑Fi settings on campus. Here’s what each one is for.
| Network | Use it when |
|---|---|
| BC-WiFi | Your first choice. It uses newer Wi‑Fi technology and is faster. Uses your local BC Wi-Fi credentials. |
| BC-WiFi-Legacy | Your fallback if your device can’t connect to BC‑WiFi. It’s slower but works with a wider range of devices. Uses your local BC Wi-Fi credentials. |
| eduroam | Available in limited areas on campus, mainly for visitors from other CUNY campuses and other eduroam institutions. BC students, faculty, and staff can also use eduroam when visiting those campuses — see the CUNY eduroam instructions for your device type. Uses your CUNY Login. |

Reporting a Wi-Fi problem
Submit a support request and select BC-WiFi as the problem type. You can also get there from BC Navigator: click IT Status, then Report a Problem, then choose Connecting to BC WiFi.
Include your device type, where on campus you were, and what happened. The more detail you give, the faster the issue gets diagnosed. Full steps are in How do I report a WiFi issue?
