What career resources are available to Psychology students?

The below resources have been prepared for students who are interested in careers in psychology.

Did You Know?

Marge Magner, the individual who the Career Center is named after, was a psychology major. Here are just a few highlights about her:

  • Named to Fortune’s list of Most Powerful Women in Business (2001–2004), Forbes’ list of the World’s Most Powerful Women (#19), and U.S. Banker’s list of the Most Powerful Women in Banking (#1).
  • Founding member and general partner of Brysam Global Partners, a private-equity firm that invests in consumer financial services in emerging markets.
  • Director of Accenture, a management consulting and technology services company; and Gannett Company, Inc., a publishing company.

“Perhaps the more important issue is to care enough about our students to spend time with them, to give them the benefit of our own experience, knowledge, and wisdom so that they are better prepared for what they will have to face out there. And the Magner Career Center is a great repository for those efforts.” – Magner

Psychology Jobs & Internships

Completing an internship is a vital part of one’s college experience. Internships allow students to gain first hand experience in the workplace, expand their network, and better prepare for their future. Internships can also help a student determine if their intended career is the right fit. Please review this spreadsheet of possible internship sites. Be sure to review sheet 1 to best understand how to use this list.

Additional internship search resources can be found on our Ways to Find a Paid Internship page.
