How can I meet with a Career Coach? (Scheduling Appointments, Maximizing Your Appointment Experience)

Appointments are for currently enrolled students only. If you are an alum looking for Career support, please visit our Alumni Services Page to learn about services available to alumni.

Appointments are group sessions & only available remotely. Scheduling an appointment means you will complete the necessary prep work listed below in “Maximizing Your Appointment”

Our Career Coaches help you build career skills & prepare for application to your dream positions. They offer various services in their group appointments, such as mock interviews, helping access job/internship opportunities, providing resume feedback, and more!

Appointment Tutorial

1. Log-in on EAB Navigate5. Confirm details, add comments
2. Click “Schedule an Appointment”6. Click “Schedule”
3. Select “Career Services”, and service that matches your major (if your major is unavailable click “Undeclared & All Majors”)7. You will receive an appointment confirmation at your @bcmail.cuny.edu address
4. Pick a date, and click “Find Available Time”

Maximizing Your Appointment

Based on the appointment type, review pre-work material: 

After completing the above, before your appointment, send an e-mail to your assigned Career Coach that includes:

  • Your name, expected graduation year and EMPL ID
  • The date & time of your appointment
  • Questions you’d like to address
  • Depending on the appointment: resume, cover letter, job descriptions of interest, LinkedIn Profile URL, etc.
