How do I change my preferred email address in CUNYfirst?

The Preferred email checkbox determines the destination for all official university correspondence, including enrollment updates, financial aid, and campus alerts. It is also your default send-from address.

Note: To ensure security and compliance with university communication standards, your preferred email must be a CUNY-affiliated email address.

1. Sign in to CUNYfirst using your CUNY Login
2. Select the Student Center
3. Click Profile
4. Click Contact Details
5. In the Email section, click the arrow next to the Campus email type
6. Select from the available cuny.edu email addresses in the drop-down list
7. Click Save
