Media/Arts/Entertainment

• ARTS Intern – Studio Institute ($3,300 stipend) Deadline: Positions are open until filled. Applicants are encouraged to apply early. 
  Eligibility: Students must be attending a college or university within the five boroughs of New York City or be residents of New York City; full-time student entering their sophomore, junior or senior year; and must demonstrate financial need.  
• ASME Magazine Internship Program ($350/week) Deadline: Early December  
  Eligibility: Full-time students who have completed their junior year of college, GPA of at least 3.0. 
• CUNY Cultural Corps Deadline: Varies
  Eligibility: Varies depending on program Students are eligible to apply for. CUNY hosts both the Cultural Corps Summer Intensive and Cultural Corps Academic Year Internship.
• Emma L. Bowen Foundation for Minority Interests in Media. Deadline: Rolling. 
  Eligibility: Student of color undergraduate student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and an interest in a career in the media industry.
• IRTS Summer Fellowship Program: (All expense-paid) Deadline: January  
  Eligibility: College juniors, seniors and graduate students selected. 
• Louis Carr Internship Foundation ($4,500 stipend) 
  Eligibility: Highly motivated minority students, who cannot afford to take non-paying summer internships. 
• Shakespeare Theatre Company Internships and Fellowships ($150/week) Deadline: Early April 
  Eligibility: Requirements vary depending on focus of internship; however, most interns have an undergraduate degree in theatre and are in the early stages of their professional career.
• Smithsonian Institution Minority Awards Program ($550/week) Deadline: Early February. 
  Eligibility: Sophomore, junior and senior students interested in learning about the Smithsonian and their academic fields through research and museum-related internships.
• T. Howard Foundation (Paid internship in media-related/entertainment field) Deadline: October and December. 
  Eligibility: Sophomore, junior, senior or graduate minority students; U.S. citizen or F-1 visa holder with a minimum GPA of 2.8.

• Brown and Caldwell Scholarships: Minority Scholarship Program ($3,000 scholarship) Eligibility: All students interested in science and engineering. 
  Deadline: Early March
• Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program (up to $9,500 per year) for two years of full-time study and a 10-week, full-time paid ($700/week) internship. Eligibility: Sophomore, U.S. citizen, GPA 3.0, and majoring in a discipline related to oceanic and atmospheric science. 
  Deadline: Late January early February
• Google Policy Fellowship ($7,500 for 10 weeks) Eligibility: First year, sophomore, junior and senior students work at public interest organizations and conduct research and analysis, draft reports and attend conferences on issues related to the future of the Internet and its users. 
  Deadline: Varies
• HRTP: A Public Health Internship Program Program 3 times per year (Summer, Fall and Winter) Eligibilty: Must be current student with a GPA of 3.0.

• INROADS Eligibility: Underserved youth in business, health care, computer science etc. 
  Deadline: Rolling (earlier you apply the better)
• Mickey Leland Energy Fellowship ($650-750 weekly stipend for undergrads/graduate students) Eligibility: Women and under-represented minorities who are matriculating in math, science and engineering from an accredited college or university. 
  Deadline: Early-January
• NASA LARSS Paid Internship Program (Financial aid is available on a limited basis) Eligibility: Juniors and seniors with a GPA of 3.0 and an interest in a discipline related to NASA’s work. 
  Deadline: Early February
• NYC Department of Mental Health and Hygiene Health Research Training Program (Financial aid is available on a limited basis) Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate/professional students interested in working on current public health issues during 10-12 weeks of the summer and part-time during the academic year. 
  Deadline: Mid-February
• SUNY Downstate – Exploring Health Careers Program ($1,500 Stipend | Four Weeks in mid June—July) Eligibility: Freshman, Sophomores or Juniors with at least one semester of science work.

• The HACU National Internship Program Open to all students. Eligibility: Hispanic students interested in business, industry, and government. Deadline: Spring Semester (late October); Summer Semester (Early October for early deadline; regular deadline mid February); Fall Semester (January)
• The Hispanic Scholarship Fund/Macy’s College Scholarship Program ($500 to $5,000 stipend based on relative need) Eligibility: Undergraduate Latino students. Deadline: February
• The Lagrant Foundation Scholarships ($2,500 for undergrad) Eligibility: Ethnic minority undergraduate and graduate students majoring in advertising, marketing or public relations. Deadline: Late February

• CHCI Congressional Internship  Eligibility:  Students must currently be enrolled full time and working towards their undergraduate degree and High academic achievement (preference of 3.0 GPA or higher) Deadline: Spring: October; Summer: December; and Fall: February. 
• CHCI Fellowship Program (Paid fellowship) Eligibility: Open to Latino students/alumni who have earned a Bachelor’s degree within two years of the program start date. Deadline: Mid-December
• Collegiate Leadership Internship Program (CLIP)  (Paid internship) Eligibility: Open to rising sophomores, juniors and seniors who attend school in New York City. Students are placed at paid internships at for-profit, non-profit and Jewish community organizations in New York City. Deadline: Varies
• Conference on Asian/Pacific American Leadership (CAPAL) ($2,000 stipend) Eligibility: Students with leadership potential are chosen to pursue public service internships in Washington, DC. Deadline: Varies
• Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs (Stipend varies) Eligibility: Students and graduates with demonstrated leadership potential who are committed to public service. Deadline: Varies
• Google Journalism Fellowship ($7,500 stipend + travel expense of $1,000) Eligibility: Student who is eligible to work in the U.S. and at least 18 years old. Deadline: Late January.
• Hope Foundation Eligibility: (Internships are 10-weeks long, $5250 for the length of their summer internship. If you are a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior in college).  Deadline: February
• Horseshoe Farm Fellowship ($500/month) Eligibility: Students from all majors and backgrounds can apply, especially those interested in community-based service leadership and social entrepreneurship. Deadline: Late January
• Humanity in Action (HIA) Fellowship Program (Stipend + travel expense varies) Eligibility: First year, sophomore, junior or senior students are selected to study human rights, diversity, and minority issues. Deadline:Mid-January
• ILF Civic Fellowship Program ($2,000 stipend or 8 week paid internship) Eligibility: Applicant must have at least one parent of Asian or Pacific Islander heritage. Deadline: Early February
• National Urban League Eligibility: looking for candidates interested in a career in the not-for-profit sector, or in understanding the connection between non-profits, corporations, and government in the work of our nation. This internship is open to undergrads only. Deadline: End of February
• Pulliam Journalism Fellowship ($650/week) Eligibility: College students and recent graduates interested in reporting, news design and graphics, and photojournalism. Deadline: Early November
• Robert L. Bartley Fellowship Program (Paid internship- amount varies) Eligibility: First year, sophomore, junior and senior students aspiring to a career in journalism to work as editors for The Wall Street Journal’s opinion pages. Deadline: Mid-January
• Smithsonian Institution Minority Awards Program ($700/week) Eligibility: Enrolled in school. For those interested in learning about the Smithsonian and their academic fields through research and museum-related internships. Deadline: Summer or Fall (February 1) and Spring (October 1)
• The HACU National Internship Program Eligibility: Hispanic students interested in business, industry, and government.  Open to all students. Deadline: Spring Semester: November and Summer Semester: March
• The Jeannette K. Watson Fellowship (Varies) Eligibility: Second semester freshman or sophomore at one of the twelve invited colleges, and you must have at least four semesters of full-time academic work remaining after the term in which you apply to become a J.K. Watson Fellow. This is only open to a select set of schools. Brooklyn College is one of them. Deadline: Varies
• The Koch Internship Program (Varies) Eligibility: Designed for students and recent graduates who are passionate about economic freedom. Deadline: Varies 
• We Need Diverse Books Internship Grant Eligibility: students from diverse back- grounds (people of color, people with disabilities, people from the LGBTQIAP+ community, and other underrepresented groups) who wish to pursue a career in children’s publishing.  Deadline: rolling basis, with a final deadline of May

International Internships

• Christianson Grant ($2,500-10,000 stipend) Eligibility: U.S. citizen or permanent resident between the ages of 18 to 23 who is participating in a work, internship or volunteer abroad program of at least six months. Deadlines: Mid-March, Mid-July, Mid-October
• DAAD: Summer Internships in Germany (RISE – Research Internships in Science and Engineering (Living expense/Housing assistance) Eligibility: Undergraduate students from the US, UK and Canada work with research groups at universities and top research institutions across Germany for a period of 1.5 to 3 months during the summer. Deadline: Early January

• America Needs You Fellows Program ($ 2,000 grant) Eligibility: Ambitious first-generation college freshmen attending a CUNY School.
