What is on the application for the Unpaid Internships Stipend?

You will be asked to complete some questions about you/your academic profile, submit your resume and to submit responses to the following questions:

  1. Describe the type of unpaid career experience you need the stipend for and how the experience supports your career goals?
  2. Describe your financial need/situation. It can include the following:
    • How will receiving the money benefit you?
    • How do you currently support yourself?
    • Stipends are $2,400 (this is before taxes are withheld). If you would like to request more, please indicate how much and why. Provide an estimated breakdown of costs related to being able to intern that exceed $2,400 (example: lunch for the full internship [50 per week at 10 weeks = $500], professional clothing = $100, etc.)
  3. Describe your level of engagement with the career center by describing a few services you used and/or events you’ve attended. How have you benefited from them (be specific)? If you did not use the center’s services, please explain why.
  4. Aside from financial need, why should you be selected to receive the award? Keep in mind that the program is competitive, convince us!
