Your new CUNY student email account and mailbox will be your CUNY Login username (firstname.lastname##@login.cuny.edu). This mailbox will receive all messages sent to any of your CUNY email addresses.
In addition to your CUNY Login mailbox address, you will also receive the following email aliases that you can use to as your preferred address for sending and receiving email:
- firstname.lastname##@stu-mail.brooklyn.cuny.edu: This is your new Brooklyn College–branded address. This will become your preferred address in CUNYfirst.
- firstname.lastname##@cuny.edu: This works across all CUNY schools. You can send emails from this address, too.
If you attend or work at any other CUNY college, you will also receive a branded student or employee email alias from that college. Keep in mind that all of these aliases point to the same CUNY mailbox.
You will have the option to change your preferred email address in CUNYfirst to any of your other active CUNY email aliases.
