Declaring your major is an important step in your academic career, and Brooklyn College offers more than 70 undergraduate programs for you to choose from. As you make your plans, please keep in mind the major declaration deadlines on the academic calendar.

If you are an incoming freshman or transfer student, you might need to re-declare your major depending on the major you selected when you applied to Brooklyn College. Without re-declaration, you will not be allowed to graduate with your selected major.

Majors Requiring Department Approval

Majors that fall under the departments below require department approval. Once you submit your request to declare your major in BC WebCentral, the department will be notified and will review the request. If approved, it will be automatically forwarded to the Office of the Registrar for processing.

Minors Requiring Department Approval

The minors below require department approval. Once you submit your request to declare your minor in BC WebCentral, the department will be notified and will review the request. If approved, it will be automatically forwarded to the Office of the Registrar for processing.

Certificate Programs Requiring Department Approval

The certificate programs in the departments below require department approval. Once you submit your request to declare your certificate program in BC WebCentral, the department will be notified and will review the request. If approved, it will be automatically forwarded to the Office of the Registrar for processing.
