Common Holds

At different stages of your academic career, you may receive a negative service indicator (hold) that can prevent you from registering from classes.

The list below provides information on the most common holds and who to contact if you have questions. This list may is not exhaustive and you may have a hold that is not on this list.

If you have any questions, on a hold that is not listed here that is preventing you from registering from classes, please reach out to us at registrar@brooklyn.cuny.edu using your student email account. Be sure to send us your CUNYfirst ID number in your email.

Holds from other CUNY schools, with the exception of universal/university-wide collections holds, do not impact registration at other campuses.
