Brightspace replaced Blackboard as the primary learning management system at Brooklyn College in the Summer of 2025.

Can I still access my courses on Blackboard?

You will have access to old courses in Blackboard until December 2025.

What is Brightspace?

Brightspace is the learning management system (LMS) used at Brooklyn College (starting Summer 2025). Your professor will let you know if you need to use Brightspace to access course materials, participate in class activities, and submit assignments.

Brightspace is replacing Blackboard as the primary learning management system at Brooklyn College starting in the Summer of 2025.

How to access your courses on Brightspace

Open brightspace.cuny.edu and sign in with your CUNY Login. Your courses will appear in the My Courses section.

You can access your Blackboard courses until December 2025 as follows:

Open to https://bbhosted.cuny.edu
Sign in using your CUNY Login
The Blackboard page will open with the Home tab active. Your active courses are displayed in the My Courses module.

If you are unable to access Blackboard, contact the IT Helpdesk.
