Undergraduate Final Exams List

Winter finals will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The exams are during the day and time of your course and in the same room that you were in all winter semester. If you do not have a Tuesday meeting day, then it will be held on the day of your last class. If your course has an instruction modality of hybrid or online it can also have an in person exam. This is subject to change.

Undergraduate Final Exams List

Final examinations for the spring 2023 semester will be held from Wednesday, May 17 through Tuesday, May 23. Final examinations have been scheduled based on the uniform examinations and the section of the course. Conflict examinations should not be scheduled; therefore, programs with courses whose final examinations are held at the same time should not be requested. Notes
  • If your course meets online (OS, OA or OM) it still can have an in-person final exam. You will find this information in the notes about the course in your schedule.
  • No exams held on Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13 which are reading days.

Undergraduate Final Exams List

Winter finals will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022. They will be at the time of your course and in the same room that you were in all winter semester. If you do not have a Monday meeting day, then it will be held on the day of your last class. Classes coded H, for hybrid, only have an in-person final if it is specified in the class notes otherwise it is online. Classes coded P, for in person, will have an in-person final. Undergraduate Finals Exam List

Final exams for the spring 2022 undergraduate semester will be held from Wednesday, May 18 through Tuesday, May 24. Final examinations have been scheduled based on the section code of the course. Conflict examinations should not be scheduled.
  • There is no reading day for spring 2022.
  • This schedule is subject to change.
  • NET exams run asynchronously which means the virtaul course doesn’t meet on a specific day and time. Therefore, the final is not given during a bell code slot which has a specific day and time. If you are given a final during a specific day and time and it conflicts with a synchronous course, you must be able to give the student a makeup exam.
  • Please use Notes About the Undergraduate Finals Grid to help. If you need further instructions, pleaase send an e-mail.

  • UGRD Finals are given in the same room that the course meets during class hours on the final day. If a course is HYBRID and needs a room just for the final exam Scheduling will provide one.
  • Graduate exam/class meets on the last day in the room used throughout the semester room at the time of the course.

Final examinations have been scheduled based on the section code of the course. Conflict examinations should not be scheduled.

New Student Registration
All incoming degree-seeking first- and second-semester freshmen, and incoming transfer students are required to register in person by appointment only. Instructions for students to schedule their own registration appointment through the Self-Managed Appointment Registration Tool (SMART) are included in their admission information and/or sent via e-mail. The entire registration process can take up to three hours, so students should plan accordingly. The location of Incoming Student Registration will be noted on the appointment selection page and in the appointment confirmation. Students can send an e-mail with questions and/or concerns. SEEK students register through the SEEK Department.
Current Undergraduate and Graduate Registration
If the course(s) you wish to register for is closed, requires department consent, causes a time conflict, or the requirements are erroneously rejecting your enrollment, you should contact the academic department that is offering the course(s) for a waiver. Entering of the waiver does not enroll you in the course(s). Students must enroll for the course(s) online or at the appropriate registration area. Registration for spring 2014 begins Monday, December 2, 2013. To locate your appointment date and time, log onto CUNYfirst and the “Details” link under the section titled “Enrollment Dates.” Select spring 2014 by changing term. Attempting to enroll prior to your your appointment will result in an error message. However, you can add sections to your shopping cart prior to your enrollment appointment. Withdrawal Period—W Grade (Summer 1: June 10–23; Summer 2: July 22–August 4)
A W grade will stay on a student’s transcript but will not count toward the GPA. However, 100 percent financial liability will be charged. Eligibility for financial aid may be effected for students who officially withdraw from classes. Before withdrawing from any class in which the enrollment status changes, students receiving financial aid are urged to contact the Financial Aid Office via e-mail or in 102 West Quad Center. Withdraw anytime online via CUNYfirst or in the Enrollment Services Center (ESC), 102 West Quad Center, during hours of operation. Graduate students may withdraw without department approval form.

New Student Registration
Students who are entering Brooklyn College for the first time through the Office of Admissions receive student-group specific registration information and instructions in their acceptance materials. All new undergraduate first-time degree-seeking first semester freshmen and transfer students are required to register in person with an advisor, by appointment. Students select an appointment through the Self-Managed Appointment Registration Tool (SMART); instructions for doing so are included in the acceptance materials. At registration, students will attend a half-hour student success workshop, see an advisor to plan their course schedule, enroll in courses, and receive other information and services to ensure a smooth transition to Brooklyn College. Students can send an e-mail with questions and/or concerns.

Current / continuing undergraduate students register via CUNYfirst. Information regarding the coming semester’s availability of the Schedule of Classes and registration appointments is sent via email during the current semester. Students are assigned a registration appointment within CUNYfirst. This appointment is for the on-line system and does not require students to attend in-person registration.

Log into CUNYfirst, look for “Enrollment Dates” located in a blue box on the right hand side of the page, click on the link in the box, select the appropriate term, and click “Continue.”  Attempting to enroll prior to your assigned appointment time will result in an error message. However, you can add courses to your shopping cart in advance of your appointment. Please note that courses in the shopping cart are not automatically added to your schedule; you must complete the registration process to be enrolled.
Current / Continuing Undergraduate Students in Need of Advisement
Visit the department in which they are majoring. You can view the complete list of the available majors, minors, and concentrations, as well as a listing of the departmental advisors. Graduate Student Registration (New and Current / Continuing Students)
Both new and current graduate students register via CUNYfirst. Information regarding the coming semester’s availability of the Schedule of Classes, and registration appointments is sent via email during each current semester. New students receive instructions and information regarding registration when they are admitted. Graduate registration is accomplished via open enrollment. Registration appointments are not assigned; all graduate students are granted access on the first day of registration.
Notes for Both Undergraduate and Graduate Students
Permissions, Overtallies for Closed Courses, and Prerequisite Overrides These issues are handled through departmental waivers. Students should visit the academic department that is offering the course in question. Entering of a departmental waiver does not enroll a student in the course(s). Once waivers are obtained, students need to complete their registration in CUNYfirst. How to Register in CUNYFirst *CUNYfirst does not support Google Chrome! Be sure to use Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari. Make sure the browser is set to allow pop-ups from the CUNYfirst site.
  • Log in to CUNYfirst.
  • Select “Self Service.”
  • Select “Student Center.”
  • Click on “Enroll.”
  • Search for classes by department.
  • Select classes by clicking  “Select Class.”
  • Click “Next.”
  • Each course will be placed in your shopping cart.
  • Repeat as many times as you need until you have selected all your courses.
  • Once you have all your classes, click “Enroll” tab.
  • Click on “Proceed to Step 2 of 3.”
  • Click on “Finish Enrolling.”
  • TIP: Adding a class to the shopping cart does not hold the seat. To immediately register in each class as it is selected: follow steps 5 through 8, then steps 11 through 13. Do this as many times as necessary until you have registered for all your classes.

Undergraduate Final Examination Schedule
Final examinations for the fall 2014 semester will be held from Wednesday, December 17, through Tuesday, December 23. Final examinations have been scheduled based on uniform examinations (in the bold print below) and the section of the course. A copy of the complete undergraduate final examination schedule appears in the table below. Conflicting examinations will not be scheduled; therefore, programs with courses whose final examinations are held at the same time should not be requested.
Weekend Classes
Final examinations will be held on Saturday and Sunday, December 20 and 21. Examinations will be held at the regular class meeting times and in the regular classrooms. Generally, exams will last for two hours.
