Why was WebCentral retired?

While WebCentral served us well for many years, it faced several challenges that made it difficult to maintain and less effective for today’s needs:

• Outdated Infrastructure: The system could no longer keep up with modern demands. It was also challenging to update content in WebCentral.
• Poor Mobile Accessibility: WebCentral pages were not responsive on mobile devices, requiring zooming in and out to view content and access links.
• Limited Search: It was difficult to find and discover content on WebCentral.
• Difficult to Bookmark and Share: Bookmarking or sharing frequently used applications or pages for quick access wasn’t possible.

What about my WebCentral ID?

Your WebCentral ID is not going away. You will continue using your WebCentral ID to access local Brooklyn College web applications and services.

What’s new with BC Knowledge?

BC Knowledge is mobile-friendly, easy to search, and everything can be bookmarked and shared for easy reference. All commonly used applications and resources from WebCentral are available in BC Knowledge. Plus, you’ll find many helpful new guides and resources as the platform grows.

Open the Declare your Major, Minor, or Concentration form.
(sign in using your WebCentral ID)

Read the directions and follow the prompts on the screen to submit your request.

If your major or minor requires department approval, it will be automatically routed to them for review. They may reach out to you for advisement. After the department approves the request, it will be routed to the Office of the Registrar for processing.

View Your Scores (requires WebCentral login)

Test results or scores will not be released over the phone.

• Login to CUNYfirst.
• Click on the Student Center tile.

• Click on the Schedule Builder tile.

• Click on the term you wish to view your schedule for.

Any courses that you are enrolled in will appear.

Use the Class Details toggle to get more details on your sections, including room number and faculty name.

Courses that you received a WN in for will show as enrolled. Students are considered to be withdrawn from these courses. To determine which courses you may have a WN for, follow the How to: View Your Grades in CUNYfirst instructions below.

How to: View Your Grades in CUNYfirst

• Login to CUNYfirst.
• Click on the Student Center tile.

• Click on the Course Planning and Enrollment tile.

• Click on the View Grades on the left hand column. Then click on the term/college you wish to view grades for.

Your grades for the term, including WN/WD/W, will be visible on this page.

BC Navigate App

Your current and previous course schedules are available to view in the BC Navigator mobile app and in CUNYfirst.

CUNYfirst provides real-time updates and BC Navigator is typically updates once per business day.

When you are on the Tk20 page where you enter your contact and credit card information, do not enter your student ID number where it asks for your ID number. Instead, enter your WebCentral ID that you use to log in to BC Web Central. For example, if you sign in to BC Web Central as “JDoe” you will use “JDoe” for your student ID “number” on the Tk20 purchase page. If you do not enter the correct ID, your account verification will be delayed.

Congratulations on your choice to study abroad! As you know, you may elect to go on any accredited program of your choosing, whether it be through Brooklyn College, other CUNY colleges, another U.S. institution, or direct enrollment at a foreign institution. In all cases, you will need to complete the IPSA Notification of Study Abroad Application.

• If you are a current Brooklyn College student: Use your WebCentral ID to apply via the online study abroad application.
• If you do not currently attend Brooklyn College: Create an account to proceed. Please note that this link is different to the above for non-BC students.

Know that with the IPSA online application, you can save your application and come back to it to make edits/changes or upload documents anytime.  When you log in again and click on that Submit/Manage Study Abroad Application button in BC Knowledge/WebCentral, it’ll take you to a pre-populated, but new version of the application form.  At the top of the page, just above the form fields, you’ll see the link to Display/Edit Previously Submitted Applications (it’s not expanded by default, so it’s easy to miss).  Click on it to expand the list, and then on the linked number at the beginning of the row to open your saved/submitted application.

Contact us at studyabroad@brooklyn.cuny.edu to confirm any supplemental documents you’ll need to submit; they may be different depending on the type of program you’re applying for. Professors submitting letters of recommendation should email them directly from their official university email to IPSA at studyabroad@brooklyn.cuny.edu.

NOTE: For Brooklyn College Winter and Summer programs, there is a $300 non-refundable deposit due with your program application. The deposit is part of the program fee and will not be refunded if you are accepted to the program. Pay your deposit in-person at the ESC to the Brooklyn College Bursar and send us a copy of the receipt. If you cannot come to campus to make the payment in person, please email us and we’ll send you a payment authorization form. Applications without a completed deposit will not be considered.

Note: Students who submit 100% of their evaluations get early access to the reports for that term. Results will typically be posted online a few weeks after the end of the evaluation period.
