1) Submit a Hand Raise Request in Navigate
Use the Navigate Hand Raise option labeled “I need help with a financial aid special/unusual circumstance” to request an appointment.
2) Appointment
Staff Schedule your Appointment
A Financial Aid representative will contact you and coordinate a Zoom appointment within 2 business days of receiving your Hand Raise request.
3) Prepare Your Documentation
Make the Most of Your Appointment
Before your meeting, gather all required supporting documents related to your FAFSA appeal type. Check the email your advisor sent you for more details.
4) Submit Required Forms & Documents
Upload Documents
After your meeting, upload your supporting documents and any required forms using the shared submission link provided.
If you do not submit adequate supporting documents in a timely manner your appeal will be returned to you and you will have to start the process over again.

5) Appeal Review
Financial Aid Team Reviews Your Case
The Financial Aid Advisor team will review the materials you submitted to make a determination on your appeal. Note: Generally, appeals are resolved within 15–20 business days.
6) Receive a Decision
If Approved
Your financial aid information will be updated to reflect any changes.
If Denied
You will receive a denial email that includes a detailed explanation of the decision.
